
My Fashion experience
An overview of my experience and the skills I bring to the world of fashion.

Past work experience
I began developing my skills in visual merchandising while contributing to the opening of the new H&M store in Ringwood. Working closely with the visual merchandising team, I supported the execution of in-store concepts by ensuring garments were presented to a high standard through careful folding, garment care, and floor organisation. I also assisted with styling, helping to bring visual concepts to life in a way that was both engaging and commercially effective.
Alongside my merchandising experience, I worked as a retail associate, where I regularly supported customers on the shop floor and in fitting rooms. I provided styling advice, guided customers through their shopping experience, and helped create a welcoming and personalised environment that enhanced customer satisfaction.
I further expanded my experience during the opening of JD Sports’ largest flagship store, where I collaborated with the visual merchandising team to set up impactful in-store displays. This included designing wall layouts, styling mannequins, and assisting in the installation of accessory displays. These experiences strengthened my understanding of brand presentation, spatial awareness, and the importance of visual storytelling in driving customer engagement.
Across both roles, key skills that shine through include attention to detail, creativity, teamwork, strong communication, and a keen eye for styling and presentation. My ability to combine visual merchandising with customer-focused retail experience allows me to create both visually compelling and commercially successful environments.

Present Work experience
I am currently working with both Steve Madden and Forever New, where I continue to develop my skills in styling, customer experience, and visual merchandising.
At Steve Madden, I assist customers in selecting footwear, offering personalised styling advice tailored to both everyday wear and special events. I am also involved in visual merchandising, where I curate shoe displays, implement new arrivals, and ensure the presentation aligns with brand standards. I take pride in helping customers find pieces that not only complement their outfits but also make them feel confident and empowered.
At Forever New, I focus on delivering a high level of customer service through fitting room support, garment care, and styling assistance. I am often placed in fitting rooms, where I provide personalised styling advice and create a comfortable, welcoming environment for customers. I particularly enjoy helping individuals find pieces that enhance their confidence and allow them to feel both beautiful and assured in their own style.
Across both roles, my strengths lie in styling, communication, attention to detail, and creating positive, confidence-driven customer experiences.

Future Goals
I am highly motivated to begin my career in the fashion industry as an assistant, where I can develop a comprehensive understanding of all aspects of the field. I am particularly interested in gaining experience across visual merchandising, design, styling, and the business side of fashion, including buying. I am eager to build a strong foundation, continuously learn, and refine my skill set, with the long-term goal of progressing within the industry and eventually establishing my own brand. I am deeply driven by creativity, growth, and the desire to contribute meaningfully to the fashion world.
Ultimately, my ambition is to travel globally, working within the fashion industry, gaining diverse experiences, and one day building a successful and impactful business of my own.
